Lundy Island - Barry Island 09/07/25 - 11/07/25
Day 1 Lundy Island - Ilfracombe.
What an incredible day.
It started with silky smooth water and dolphins, rolled in to some really confused water off Woolacombe which steadied out as I approached Ilfracombe.
Spotting Damien Hirst Verity sculpture was a pleasing sight at Ilfracombe as I still thought I had a short distance to travel after a tough 40KMs.
Day 2 Ilfracombe - Minehead.
What an incredibly beautiful stretch of coastline, Mother Nature and I were definitely working together on this day.
Clocking up speeds of 6 knots, I was steaming past headland after headland.
Inspired by the pupils of Ysgol y Deri I pushed hard all the way, reaching Minehead in 5 hours covering 46KMs.
Day 3 Minehead - Jackson’s Bay.
The welcome home.
The 3rd and final day of adventuring the Bristol Channel.
WOW!
The passage from Minehead was incredible, silky smooth water and the brightest of blue skies.
My home coastline was quickly in view giving me goosebumps, the welcome so warm.
A HUGE, HUGE thank you to everyone who made the effort to welcome me in.
Well my job is done, 113KM in the bag but the thank you list is long.
A big shoutout to:
Swansea Watersports for keeping me safe on the water.
My support crew for keeping me fed and watered.
And everyone who has donated so far, I thank you all very much.
Monies raised will be used to purchase outside play equipment for Ysgol y Deri.
There is still time to donate, every £1 will make a difference and improve the outdoor environment at Ysgol y Deri.
