Beach Wise Youth Camp Have fun, learn stuff and keep safe. Water focus: How to keep safe when enjoying the water at the beach. We will consider the environment, tides and weather. We will use a variety of equipment, SUP, surf and bodyboard. We will explore how to, technique and rescue skills. Beach focus: How to keep safe and look after the beach when we are enjoying it. We will consider the environment, tides, weather, our impact and safety. We will explore the beach looking for local flora and fauna (rock pooling etc), consider how we can protect our beaches. Do beach cleans, and play beach games. All equipment is provided: board, wetsuit and buoyancy aid. Please wear appropriate clothing (waterproofs if wet etc), bring spare warm clothes, a changing towel. suncream, a hat, drinks and a snack. We meet at the Barry Yacht Club and will spend our time on Jackson's Bay.
